About the event
A drift is an activity taken from the Situationist International movement, as a way of walking and exploring a space without using a planned route or typical directions. We will wander, meander and amble through the city, without a specific walk leader or end goal in mind, simply walking however the group decides. This practice is a great way to explore a new place, notice new things about a well-known area, get some fresh air and socialise in a relaxed setting. We will begin the walk from the new Waterside Bridge on the Nottingham side and will be drawing as we go so please bring some drawing materials with you if you would like to do this! We may find somewhere to have a snack or drink and a chat after the walk, if the group would like.
