Meanderers November Drift and Draw

A drift is a way of walking taken from the Situationist International movement, as a way of walking and exploring a space without using a planned route or typical directions. We will wander, meander and amble through the city, without a specific walk leader or end goal in mind, simply walking however the group decides. This practice is a great way to explore a new place, notice new things about a well-known area, get some fresh air and socialise in a relaxed setting.  This month, you are encouraged to additionally attempt some walking-drawing, to link with the Young Producers exhibition at City Arts. Please bring a small sketchbook and drawing tool. 

We will begin the walk from City Arts in Hockley, and may find somewhere to have a snack or drink and a chat after the walk, if the group would like.
